Conrad Trosch and Kemmy, P.A. would like to recognize Mallory Willink for volunteering to serve over the past months with the Family Court Task Force in Mecklenburg County.
The Mecklenburg County Family Court Task Force consists of judges, attorneys, clerks, and the family court profession in adapting to a new “normal” in the midst of COVID-19.
More specifically, the Chief Justice is responsible for managing the response of the Judicial Branch to the COVID-19 pandemic. The judicial branch includes all courts, all trial and appellate divisions, all court administrators, Clerks of Court, District Attorneys, Public Defenders, and all other court personnel. The Mecklenburg County Family Court Task Force members consisted of Judges, attorneys, court administrators, and clerks. Members of the Mecklenburg County Family Court Task Force were organized into workgroups to address specific issues at a rapid pace to ensure the court was able to expand operations on June 1. Additionally, Chief Justice Beasley created a COVID-19 Task Force comprised of court administrators, Clerks of Court, District Attorneys, Public Defenders, members of the bar and other court personnel, who worked to make informed recommendations to help Chief Justice Beasley use her emergency authority to expand court operations to perform the constitutional and legally prescribed functions of the Judicial Branch consistent with the health and safety of those of us who work there and those whom we represent.
The Mecklenburg County Family Court Task Force, as well as the COVID-19 task force, has been and continues to work hard to expand court proceedings as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
We want to thank Mallory for her generosity of time in volunteering to serve this critical group.
