Meet Sarah
Sarah joined Conrad Trosch & Kemmy in March of 2021 and has focused her practice in the areas of estate planning and estate administration, serving clients as a licensed attorney in both North Carolina and South Carolina. When it comes to estate planning, Sarah is dedicated to helping individuals and families secure their legacy by working to develop tailored estate plans. She is passionate about guiding clients through the legal complexities that are inherent with estate administration. Through a client-centered approach, she ensures her client’s needs are met through clear communication and personalized attention. Sarah strives to allow loved ones to focus on the process of grieving by reducing the administrative burdens they face while settling an estate. Through her years of practice and work experience, Sarah’s approach to her work is deeply rooted in empathy, integrity, and professionalism.
Sarah grew up in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina before attending Appalachian State University. Upon graduation, Sarah took the opportunity to move to Charlotte where she worked as a Victim Witness Legal Assistant with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office supporting the office in various divisions including the special victims unit for three years. Those years secured her decision to attend law school. During law school at Elon University School of Law, Sarah served on the Moot Court Team competing in Washington D.C. and was chosen to be the law student research assistant to the UNC School of Government Superior Court Judge’s Pattern Jury Instruction Committee. She also participated in the Pro Bono Board and volunteered with the Wills for Heroes clinics. Through these experiences, Sarah leaned into what came naturally to her including a strong attention to detail and an undeniable passion for helping others, leading her to pursue a career in her current practice areas.
During her tenure with CTK, outside of her typical client work, Sarah has co-authored two National Business Institute CLE manuscripts alongside Managing Partner Bill Trosch in the areas of Estate and Trust Taxation and Advanced Estate Administration.
Sarah is a proud wife and mother. Her family is the driving factor behind her motivation to educate others on the critical importance of planning for their legacy. Outside of work, you can find her enjoying time with her husband, son, and Labrador. While she is very proud to call Charlotte home, the Blue Ridge Mountains and coast of South Carolina both hold a special place in her heart, becoming the preferred destinations for family time.
