Possibly. In order to be granted alimony, the Court must determine that you are a “dependent spouse,” that your wife is a “supporting spouse,” and that an award of alimony would be fair under the circumstances. A few of the factors that the Court will consider in making this determination include: your wife’s income, your standard of living during the marriage, and any claims of misconduct during your marriage. There are many other factors that the Court will consider that will determine the amount of your alimony payments and how long you receive those payments.
